The reader wonders from chapter to chapter what will come next in this saga about Jim and a bunch of pirates. While it is true that real pirates were for the most part not like those depicted here, this story is fictional.Another reviewer said that some details are nonexistent, such as whether Jim sees his mother again. For missing details, a reader's imagination can fill in gaps sufficiently.Although I think the tale was originally written for children, I thoroughly enjoy reading it as an adult. I recommend this book to anyone of any age who enjoys suspense and adventure fiction.
