I think this is an older book for Nora Roberts, but still a good one. A classic story of a daughter that discovers her father after the death of her noncaring mother. She finds out the reason for his absence in her life in the years of her youth. Basic and hard truths about her mother and the love of her father that she had no relation with. Her father is protected by his partner (who she falls in love with) who thinks of her in a bad way since she had not had any word from in years, only remembers him from memories. Also shows Hawaii in a good way. Romantic and easy read.
